About Us
I grew up with addiction and it touches me on an intimate level. My brother spent most of his life addicted to alcohol and drugs. I saw his struggle first hand. I also knew what it did to our family, mostly my parents, who always felt helpless.
Now, at 49 years old, he still struggles, but he is over the hump. He has found a purpose in his life and now has a new wife and baby (my nephew). He understands what it means if he uses again. He was recently featured in The Vancouver Province if you would like to read his story. It’s very inspirational.
Through this site we try to expose alcoholism and those facts related to alcoholism, such as treatment options, effects of alcoholism and the effects that it plays on loved ones. I would also like to openly ask our visitors to leave comments, messages or questions at the end of the articles so that we can try to help them.
